I’ve seen blue & green colors on copper metal used in art projects-How do they do it?

I want to color copper screening with some blues and green colors, not a patina coating. How is it done?
What about pinks, orange and/or reds?

The easiest way is to spray the copper with mixture of vinegar and water, or salt and water. Exposing the copper to direct sunlight with one of these mixtures will accelerate the process.

Anything like these mixtures will only work on raw metal, so make sure the screening does not have an anti-corrosion finish. If there is a finish, you will have to remove it first by scaping with a steel brush or using lacquer thinner.
